4th july crossfit WOD

Happy 4th everyone!!! I typically skip WODs that come on holidays because it always seems that those are the days with crazy hero workouts. You know…when you run for 5 miles before you even start the main part of workout or you do 200 burpees for time as a cash out. Yeah, no thanks.

I went and worked out yesterday though because our box owner announced that there would be three different workouts for every level. Level three was your typical hero workout, which my husband did. I did level two which was agonizing in itself but the first level was just a bunch of lunges, burpees, and running. I wanted to lift some weight.

The entire class started out with a run. I would guess it was about a mile. That part was insanely easy because we ran indoors on a cushy track. Nice! My affiliate gym has two locations and the WOD was at the second location. It is out of my way to get there but it was the location of the only place to workout today so we made the trek. Next time we have a lot of running I might make my way there again….very easy on the feet, knees, and joints.

WOD : Independence Day – 7 Rounds

4 Ring Rows
17 Kettlebell Swings (35 lbs)
7 Thrusters (50 lbs)
6 burpees
